Legend has it that Agamemnon led an expedition against the city
of Troy to bring back Helen, wife of Menelaus of Sparta.
After 10 years of war and without victory, the Greek army pretended
to withdraw and sailed to the nearby island of Bozca (also named
Tenedos) to hide. Before leaving the battle field, they left behind
a wooden horse that concealed a raiding party of armed warriors.
Once the Trojan horse was inside the city, the Greek army took
over the city.
